MFT Systems Engineer
Fully RemoteOur Fortune 100 client is looking for a Sr Managed File Transfer (MFT) Systems Engineer to join their application integration team, which includes infrastructure design and support as well as vendor and partner management.. Day to day responsibilities for this resource will include troubleshooting and repairing infrastructure defects that affect system performance, working with hardware and software vendors to resolve issues, deploying and configuring infrastructure and providing infrastructure support, and more. This is a 9 month renewable contract that goes through the end of the year with potential for extensions.
The skills being sought for this role include Linux (preferably Red Hat), FTP protocols (SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, etc), API and REST protocols, experience with supporting outside vendors, and strong documentation and communication skills. Preferred skills include experience with IBM Sterling File Gateway or other enterprise class data transfer applications , Windows distributed environment support, Cloud enablement, SSH key knowledge, PGP key knowledge, etc.
Our client is in industry leader with a large IT shop and great work culture. This is a fully remote position but candidates must live and work within the 48 contiguous states and be willing to work core business hours during Eastern Standard Time.

Required:
– Knowledge of FTP protocols- SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS, etc.
– Knowledge of API and REST protocols
– Linux support (RedHat OS preferred)
– Outside vendor B2B support
– Strong communication skills to collaborate with peers, internal customers, and external trading partners
– Strong documentation skills
Plusses:
– IBM Sterling File Gateway or other enterprise class data transfer applications
– Experience in configuring file transfers and providing infrastructure support, including application upgrades and configurations
– Windows distributed environments support
– GFS2 (or other) cluster file system support
– Cloud enablement (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, etc.)
– SSH key knowledge
– PGP key knowledge
– Working knowledge of security certificates
– Knowledge of IBM s Connect:Direct
