Sr. IT Change Management Analyst

Our direct, F100 client is looking for a Sr. IT Change and Release Management Analyst to join their organization in a long-term contract position. This role is open to remote candidates (schedule will follow EST hours)!

You d be joining a team supporting development teams who are responsible for all the organization’s key business applications and infrastructure. You’ll be responsible for managing the overall scheduling of changes and assisting with the identification and development of change and release management processes (primarily with regards to IT infrastructure changes (i.e. server, networking, database, cloud, security, etc). You’ll also track, coordinate, and resolve any issues with the releases per established contracts and Service Level Agreements in the case of 3rd party vendor software. Finally, you’ll monitor, maintain, and communicate release schedules, status, and updates to stakeholders ensuring minimal downtime. This position would not exceed 40 hours/week, however does require occasional flexibility outside of regular business hours for off-hour deployments.

You will interact daily with other Change/Release Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and Service Managers.

Day-to-day responsibilities:

– Coordinates releases and tracks changes through the change management process; ensures that change initiators follow established change and release management processes

– Manages and coordinates complex changes, conflicts and issues between various stakeholders

– Identifies and defines risks and deployment issues, developing alternative plans and actions

– Follows established OLAs

– Maintains documentation in the change system and other repositories as needed

– Works with Project Managers and other technical experts to ensure the proper delivery of project or defect related changes.

– Implements defined work instructions per the release plan and addresses failed deployments

– Analyzes production readiness requirements and provides recommendations

– Work with Service Management stakeholders in planning and gaining necessary approvals

Required:

– In-depth knowledge of Change Management methods, tools, terminology and industry practices

– Knowledge of various corporate security rules, legal and regulatory obligations such as PCI, SOX or similar standards

– Knowledge of ITIL and industry standards, concepts, terminology and common practices

– Ability to assess implications of proposed systems changes on the processes and factors related to the insurance business or common business functions (e.g. marketing, sales, and financial controls).
