Sr. IT Change & Release Management Analyst

Our direct, F100 client is looking for a Sr. IT Change and Release Management Analyst to join their organization in a long-term contract position. This role is open to remote candidates (schedule will follow EST hours).

You d be joining a team of 20+ peers supporting software development teams who are responsible for all the organization’s key business applications. The mission of this centralized team is to plan and deploy software releases developed through both waterfall and agile methodologies. The role serves as a single point of contact for change control, release planning, and application deployment, ensuring that changes are properly scheduled, managed to mitigate risk and delivered on time with high quality. The focus for this role will be on software code deployment experience rather than infrastructure change management.

You will interact daily with other Change/Release Analysts, Developers, Project Managers, and Service Managers. The primary responsibility is to plan and perform software promotion to Development, QA, and Production environments. The applications supported by the team are hosted in a variety of technology platforms such as distributed, mainframe, and cloud.

Day to day Responsibilities:

– You ll interact daily with other release planners, developers, testers, project managers, and service managers.

– You ll be responsible for planning and performing software deployment to Development, Test, and Production environments which are on performed on distributed (server), cloud, and mainframe platforms.

– The deployments are executed both during and before normal business hours, with an occasional need for weekend deployments

Required:

– Working knowledge of Change and Release Management methods, tools, terminology, and industry practices

– Working knowledge of ITIL and industry standards, concepts, terminology, and common practices

– Excellent communication skills listening, verbal and written including meeting management and facilitation.

– Excellent customer service skills servicing and interfacing with individuals across IT (customers) in different roles to coordinate/lead elevates for major projects as well as operational changes.

– Excellent organization skills with proven ability to manage multiple assignments and priorities successfully, delivering with high quality

– Proven ability to work in a team-oriented environment, collaborating with others to establish common goals, including deployment dates.

– Proven ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

– Ability to embrace assignment changes when needed.

Plusses:

– Knowledge of Microsoft Azure DevOps (AzDO), GIT, Pipelines and workflows.

– Experience with BMC Remedy or other ITSM tool suites

– Experience with Serena ChangeMan (used for mainframe deployments)
